Heavens, life is a whirlwind lately. Those of you who know everything that’s happening right now know I’m speaking (typing?) the truth! haha
But anyway, we went to Texas a few weeks ago! We went all way down to Aransas Pass (15ish hours from us) for Bro. Riley’s annual STAR conference. It was the first year we have ever attended, so it was a new experience for us. We enjoyed it very much though! I met some great friends and heard some amazing preaching; I will never get tired of good Apostolic fellowship and preaching!
While we were there, we went to Port Aransas and the beach there. I really loved walking along the shore and seeing the turtles swim around in the waves–such a neat thing! We also went to a fantastic hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurant called Irie’s. I highly recommend trying it if you’re ever in the area!
On Saturday afternoon, we headed over to Port Arthur for a couple different things. One of which was that Dad was preaching for Bro Rule that Sunday. We got to help out with the bus ministry they have, and I loved it! Seeing all those kids so thrilled about coming to church was so awesome.
While I did enjoy my time in Port Arthur as well, I feel like I was too physically and socially exhausted to really get the most out of it. Hopefully next time will be different!
After that, we headed home. And boy was I glad to be back! haha
