“My” Youth Group

I have mentioned many times before that I count Elder Howard’s youth group as my own. Our family has a home-missions church with a youth group that consists of just me and two of my sisters, so our true youth group is pretty non-existent.😂 So, I believe God has brought the Tulsa youth group into our lives to fill that void. I think we all forget sometimes that we aren’t actually from Tulsa, because we are always with them. At conferences we sit with them, eat with them, pray with them, hang out with them, etc. So, at Heritage, people are constantly just assuming we are part of them. All the time I get stuff like, “Oh, you’re from Tulsa, right?” and, “How long have you been going to Bro. Howard’s church?” I even had a guy at Heritage tell me that me and my sister were the only people he knew from out of the Tulsa group. I laugh every time something like that happens, because we aren’t even from Oklahoma and have never been!😂

The funny thing is, we never even met anyone from there until we started going to their camp, despite the fact that we had been going to the same conferences and rallies for years! Well, I said we didn’t meet anyone, but I actually met Jeriah at ADMIT the year before that. But, one person out of 80+ doesn’t really count.😉 My first year of Camp was 2015. Ever since then, our relationship with them has grown steadily.

I love each and every one of them as though they truly were my youth group. When I am with them they -without fail- always inspire me to be a better person and to strengthen my walk with God. I have some incredible memories with them, and I know I have made some forever friends. So any of you who read this, thank you so much for welcoming us like you did! You are some of my very favorite people in the world, and I am so thankful God brought y’all into our lives!  I am blessed to have so many awesome, Godly friends in my life!🤗❤️❤️❤️
