Living Life Outside of Your Phone

I wanted to share this little thought with you today.😄 I was looking at quotes, and this one just jumped out at me. As Millennials, we are the worst about making our devices one of the top priorities in our life. Some of us may even make them the top priority in our life. Think of everything you are missing! Every moment you are on your phone is a moment not spent living the life that God gave you. When you think back on all the good memories in your life, how many of them involve your phone? If you have any, that tells me that the life you lead is shallow. You don’t have enough depth and richness in your life to over-power the “good times” you have had with your phone. Honestly, that’s sad.

I challenge you to put down your phone and actually live the life God has given you. Instead of spending the 5 minutes you are standing in line at a grocery store on your phone, use that time to take in the world around you and just breathe. You could even use those 5 minutes to talk to someone about God. Or, when you are at a restaurant waiting for your food, talk to those you are with. I can’t believe I actually have to say that. 😏😂 That one should be a no-brainer. Anyway, I think you get the point.😄 Just try to find ways to exchange your time with your phone with something more worthwhile and memorable. Bottom line: Do more things that make you forget to check your phone.😄
